The first PLE of 2025 is just hours away
The first PLE of 2025 is less than a few hours away as the Stamford-based promotion has built a stacked card for the fandom. The 2025 edition of the Royal Rumble PLE will emanate from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The 38th edition of the PLE will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, marking the first Rumble PLE to not take place during the month of January.
Considered among the big five PLEs from the WWE every year, along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank. The PLE features two Royal Rumble matches in the men’s and women’s divisions.
Multiple big names including former champions and stars returning from injury have announced their entry into the Rumble match. Every star enters the match with one goal in mind to win the match and get a chance to fight for the title at WrestleMania.
The promotion has also announced a title clash between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens in a ladder match where Cody’s Undisputed WWE title along with the Winged Eagle title which KO stole from Rhodes at SNME will be suspended high above the ring and the two former friends will battle for glory.
After defeating Pretty Deadly, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (Motor City Machine Guns) got their rematch against Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa for the WWE Tag Team titles. The two teams with a lot of bad blood will now battle inside the ring in a two out of three falls match.
