SmackDown this Friday takes over Toronto.
Live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the August 21 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will feature a major marquee showdown where the Undisputed WWE Championship will be up for grabs.
Kevin Owens, in his return at SummerSlam, partook in the Fatal Four-Way match, featuring Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, and Sami Zayn. Owens pinned Zayn to win the match and become the number one contender for the Undisputed title.
Owens is now set to battle the reigning Champion CM Punk this Friday. Both men have engaged in fiery promo battles that have turned very personal, and fans are expecting a gruelling battle between the two.
Blake Monroe’s in-ring debut on WWE’s main roster is also expected for the show after last week’s segment where Giulia confronted her and asked GM Nick Aldis to give her the match against Monroe. Notably, no date for the match was announced, which is why this is just speculation.
