All superstars confirmed for WWE SmackDown after Backlash

The May 16 episode of SmackDown will serve as the fallout show from Backlash 2025!

The 2025 edition of Backlash concluded on May 10th in St. Louis, the main event of the PLE saw John Cena defeat his career-long rival, Randy Orton, to defend the Undisputed WWE title for the first time since winning it at WrestleMania 41.

The Stamford-based promotion is now set to deliver the fallout show of Friday Night SmackDown from Backlash 2025. The show is set to air live from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

As announced by Michael Cole on this week’s Raw, the fallout show of SmackDown will kick off the qualifying matches for Money in the Bank, which is set for June 7, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

The PLE will feature two Money in the Bank ladder matches, one for the men’s and one for the women’s championship match contract. The subsequent episode of Raw will kick off the qualifying matches for stars on the Red brand.
