The Backlash go-home show of SmackDown will air from Ohio!
While many sports and entertainment industries have an off-season, WWE does not, such is the case right now as following WrestleMania 41, the promotion has kicked off preparation for the next PLE, which is Backlash 2025.
The May 09 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. The show will serve as the go-home show for Backlash 2025, which is set for May 10 in St. Louis and will be headlined by John Cena and Randy Orton.
Stars set to battle at the PLE will meet for the final time, while the rest of the storylines will continue as usual. Ahead of his first title defense, Undisputed Champion John Cena will make an appearance to respond to Randy Orton’s stern warning from last week.
Furthermore, ahead of their fatal four-way clash, LA Knight and Damian Priest will team up to battle United States Champion Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. Fatu will defend the title in a fatal four-way match against Damian Priest, LA Knight, and Drew McIntyre.
Additionally, Jade Cargill and Nia Jax will lock horns this week, where the number one contender for the WWE Women’s title is on the line. Both stars are claiming their shot at the title, and the match is set up to clear the dispute and decide who Stratton will defend the title against next.
