Atlanta hosts a historic first-ever Sunday edition of the NBC special WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
WWE’s Sunday Night’s Main Event returns for September 2026, but with a scheduling twist — for the first time in the show’s history, the special will air on a Sunday rather than its traditional Saturday slot.
Billed as Sunday Night’s Main Event, the 46th overall episode will take place on September 6 during Labor Day weekend, live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The move fills the gap between SummerSlam and Money in the Bank, with the date originally earmarked for Money in the Bank before that premium live event was pushed to October 10 in New Orleans.
Atlanta previously hosted the show in July 2025, when Gunther defeated and retired WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg in the final match of his career.
This time around, there’s no retirement bout, but the stakes are just as high, with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton renewing hostilities and a same-night title opportunity hanging in the balance. Atlanta native Quavo will also open the show with a live performance.
The event will stream on Peacock in the United States and on YouTube in most international markets, while Indian fans can catch the action on Sony LIV.
