These former WWE legends found a new home in Jacksonville.
Since its inception in 2019, All Elite Wrestling has emerged as the biggest competitor to World Wrestling Entertainment. Over the years, multiple stars have switched between the two promotions in search of new opportunities, bigger paydays, creative freedom, or a fresh start in their careers.
The same is true for WWE legends who have helped shape the promotion and the pro wrestling industry at large, leaving a long-lasting impact.
From Hall of Famers and multi-time world champions to fan-favorite veterans, many iconic performers have found new roles in AEW as wrestlers, managers, commentators, and backstage personalities.
Let us now take a look at the list of legends from the Stamford-based promotion who have found a new home in Jacksonville and are working for All Elite Wrestling.

Looking at the list, Chris Jericho, aka Jericho, was recently heavly being speculated for a return to WWE. However, he chose to re-sign with AEW and is currently an active performer. Similarly, Edge, aka Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, are active performers and recently captured the AEW World Tag Team titles at Double or Nothing 2026.
Meanwhile, Jeff Jarrett not only wrestles in the promotion but also serves as Director of Business Development. On the other hand, Billy Gun, one of the key members of D-Generation X (DX), performs under the ring name Daddy Ass and is a coach as well as an occasional in-ring talent.
Big Show, aka Paul Wight, recently resigned with the company to continue as a backstage mentor and television commentator, while Dustin Rhodes is an active performer who also makes appearances in AEW’s sister promotion, Ring of Honor.
Furthermore, 16-time WWE World Champion Ric Flair works behind the scenes in AEW as well as in an ambassadorial capacity. In contrast, Samoa Joe is an active performer and the leader of the Opps faction.
Although Tazz has retired from active competition, he is still signed with AEW as a color commentator for AEW Dynamite.
Mick Foley is the latest addition to this list, as he left the Stamford-based promotion due to the close affiliation of the promotion and the continuous closeness with current US President Donald Trump. Foley has made it clear that, as long as Trump remains in office, he will not be making any appearances for WWE and will be renewing the legend’s contract.
Foley is a critic of Trump’s political policies and controversial rhetoric. He then signed with AEW and made his debut during Double or Nothing 2026 Pre-show, Buy In. Foley even participated in a confrontation with MJF, who later in the show defeated Darby Allin to regain the AEW World title.
