The promotion has a busy schedule in 2025 with multiple international PLEs

WWE kicked off the year with a PLE from the developmental brand, NXT New Year’s Evil, and then followed it up with the first traditional PLE from the main brand, the Royal Rumble PLE which emanated from the Lucas Oil Stadium on February 1.

Similar to last year, the 2025 Premium Live Event (PLE) calendar looks stacked with a plethora of events scattered across the year. The transition to Netflix has opened more opportunities for the Stamford-based promotion.

The streaming giant has provided more freedom and flexibility for the promotion. The promotion also revived the iconic Saturday Night’s Main Event last year in December and will now deliver quarterly SNME events throughout the year.

The road to WrestleMania PLE also kicked off with the Royal Rumble PLE where Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso won the women’s and men’s Rumble match. Flair chose WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton while Jey picked World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

Additionally, the SummerSlam PLE will make history this year by expanding to a two-night event for the first time in 38 years. The extravaganza will unfold on August 2-3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
