Carmelo Hayes and Andrade are scheduled to face LA Knight at Crown Jewel 2024

The historic series between ‘El Idolo’ Andrade and ‘Christian Casanova’ Carmelo Hayes was scheduled to conclude during last week’s episode of SmackDown. The two were scheduled to fight in a rubber match with a special guest referee LA Knight.

The winner of the match would have bagged the #1 contender spot for the United States Championship which is currently held by LA Knight.

This was the seventh fight in their historic series. Hayes and El Idolo were tied 3-3 in their last six matches. However, their seventh fight ended in a no-contest. Their seventh match ended abruptly as in the final moments, the special guest referee, LA Knight pulled Hayes out of the ring and threw him into the commentary booth. He walked into the ring and landed a BFT on Andrade.

This led the SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to confront Knight backstage. Aldis then announced a triple-threat match between Knight, Hayes, and Andrade for the US title at Crown Jewel 2024 PLE in Saudi Arabia.

Ahead of their clash at the WWE Crown Jewel 2024 PLE let us take a look at the two stars record in the WWE and compare their in-ring accolades.

Carmelo Hayes and Andrade have both held the NXT Championship title
