WrestleMania 42 ticket sales have been below expectations.
WWE has been prepping for its premier show, WrestleMania 42, which is returning to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this year as a two-night event on April 18 and 19.
However, unlike last year, this year’s Show of Shows has seen low ticket demand, prompting an internal meeting with all WWE departments. Witnessing this, here are five announcements that can help WWE boost the sales of WrestleMania this year.
5. Seth Rollins’ return

Seth Rollins has been out of action since suffering a shoulder injury at the 2025 WWE Crown Jewel PLE. At the same time, a masked man has been meddling in The Vision’s business, who is rumored to be Rollins. Should that be The Visionary? WWE should unveil him in the coming weeks and pencil him for a match at WrestleMania 42, which could help boost ticket sales.

4. Vince McMahon era ticket price

During the time Vince McMahon led the charge of WWE, tickets to television shows and major Premium Live Events were affordable to people. However, the prices have shot up since the company came under the TKO banner, which could be a major reason for low ticket sales.
Therefore, WWE should contemplate bringing them down or offering special discounts to increase sales and ensure a sell-out for their biggest show of the year.
3. Brock Lesnar vs Gunther

Brock Lesnar is set to return to RAW a week from now, which could hint that WWE is setting his plans for WrestleMania 42 in stone.
While he is rumored to battle LA Knight or Oba Femi, WWE should reconsider and instead position the ‘Career Killer’, Gunther, as his opponent, which will be a bigger draw for the card and help boost ticket sales instantly.
2. John Cena’s Hall of Fame induction

John Cena‘s in-ring career came to an end at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2025. WWE should immediately capitalize on that moment by announcing him as the headliner for the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026.
Cena’s appearance during WrestleMania 42 week could be a strong move to increase the ticket sales for The Show of Shows.
1. Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton

Witnessing the low ticket sales for WrestleMania 42, WWE could switch up the plans in the Undisputed WWE title picture. This could see Cody Rhodes dethrone current champion Drew McIntyre before the event and Randy Orton winning the Men’s Elimination Chamber.
The match between the former teacher and pupil would be a marquee bout that will surely help in boosting sales for WrestleMania 42.
Is WrestleMania taking place in Las Vegas for the first time?
No, second time. WrestleMania 41 took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas last year.
