Matt Hardy (one half of the Hardy Boyz) is one of the veteran professional wrestlers, who has been in the industry for over 32 years.

He has wrestled for a number of big wrestling promotions such as WWE, TNA/Impact Wrestling & AEW and made a big impact wherever he stays. Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy dubbed as The Hardy Boyz have ruled the tag team division for so long.

Hardy had a great reign in WWE throughout his time, where he is a 16-time champion. Hardy after a number of disagreements about scripting his own creative and contract expiring, left WWE in March 2020. He then joined AEW and still works for the company teaming up with his brother Jeff Hardy. Now, the rumors of the Hardy Boyz return to WWE have been circulating and here is what we know.

The Hardy Boyz return to WWE?

During the March 18, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw in North Carolina, the Raw Color Commentator, Michael Cole referenced the Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy match at WrestleMania 25, while talking about the upcoming Jey Uso vs Jimmy Uso’s match at WrestleMania 40. It was said that Matt Hardy was in attendance for the show.

Following that Matt’s wife Reby Hardy made it clear that she saw Michael Cole referred to The Hardys and revealed that she & Matt Hardy were on Raw in Raleigh, North Carolina and had a great time.

Although it was claimed that it was Hardy’s hometown and was casual, the talks never concluded. Matt Hardy on the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy addressed his appearance on Raw. Where Hardy said that they went for the show, as his wife went to hang out with her friends and that ended the rumors.

Matt Hardy said,

“So we actually went, Reby hung out with her friends for a little bit and while I was there, the sky box, the suite was pretty open in the front and yes I did get recognized and people started forming a line to take photos with me and what not,”

Matt’s statement is clear that there have been no other talks between WWE and the Hardys, and it was a casual appearance. Talking about Jeff, he had a very controversial exit from WWE after failing to pass the drug test, by crossing the company’s terms, which brought the end to his WWE career.
