The two promotions have a mutual working relationship.
WWE and TNA Wrestling have a partnership, which has led to crossover events, including TNA wrestlers appearing on WWE’s developmental brand, WWE NXT. The crossover has provided the Creative team with new interesting storylines and multiple former stars returning to WWE, due to the relationship.
The partnership recently led to an NXT vs TNA special show named NXT Showdown. The event included two traditional Survivor Series elimination bouts, a Winner-Takes-All Tag Team Title match, and a defense of the NXT North American Championship.
The partnership that has led to multiple stars making crossover appearances has raised questions about how the talents are being compensated. Fans have also been wondering whether WWE is paying these performers fairly. A new report from Fightful Select has shed some light on this topic.
TNA Stars are compensated per appearance

According to the report, TNA wrestlers appearing on NXT are paid on a per-appearance basis, with compensation depending on the extent of their involvement.
Those brought in but not used reportedly receive the lowest pay, while wrestlers who compete on NXT programming earn more. The highest payouts are said to go to TNA talents featured in NXT main events, such as participants in the NXT vs TNA Showdown main event.
The report further mentioned that WWE NXT wrestlers appearing on TNA shows have not been given additional pay for those appearances, though it’s uncertain whether this policy applies across all instances.
NXT Halloween Havoc concluded with Ricky Saints retaining the title
The 2025 edition of WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2025 concluded last Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater defeated Mr. Iguana and La Parka.

Furthermore, Tatum Paxley pinned Jacy Jayne to capture the NXT Women’s Champion. On the other hand, DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris) defeated The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt Hardy) to recapture the NXT Tag Team Titles in the rematch.
In the main event of the PLE, defending Champion Ricky Saints defeated Trick Williams to retain the NXT Championship.
