Currently the Premium Live Event are held on Saturday

WWE is one of the biggest professional wrestling promotions, which has been in the industry for more than 40 years. The company has witnessed a mighty growth in the reach, viewership and ticket sales that has placed the company on the top. WWE is subjected to a lot of periodical changes time after time. The changes may be from the management side, creative storylines, changes of gimmicks, timings, theme songs, arena and so on.

We could see a number of changes in recent times after the company merged with UFC & went under TKO Group Holdings. WWE is now free from McMahon family control, a major show is set to move to OTT next year, a number of International events are booked and more. Now a major change has been teased, which could alter the plans of the company.

WWE PLEs on Sunday?

On the UFC on ESPN: Lewis vs Nascimento Press Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, UFC’s President, Dana White appeared to answer the questions. During the event, White was asked about hosting Powerslap & UFC on the same weekend & in the same city.

To which Dana White said they are already in those date setups and are planning to move Power Slam on Friday, UFC on Saturday, and WWE on Sunday. He said that these changes will be coming into effect soon.

Dana White said,

“We already have those dates set up right now where Power Slap goes Friday and UFC goes Saturday. You’re going to see Friday, Power Slap, Saturday, UFC, and Sunday, WWE. You’ll start seeing that stuff too,”

WWE used to run their PLEs on Sundays for decades, however, it got moved to Saturday Nights after the COVID-19 Pandemic. WWE CEO Nick Khan made the change, who felt great success moving the event to Saturdays. Nick Khan in a previous interview said that the ticket sales are reflective of the success and they could see great response from the fans.

Nick Khan said,

“We think the ticket sales are reflective of that [success.] We have a big big audience coming out on Saturday and a big gate to go along with it.”

WWE currently runs non-televised WWE Live Events on Sunday Nights, with exception to WrestleMania Night 2. The company has already announced a number of PLE’s dates until next year’s WrestleMania, which comes on Saturdays. Could this be affected by the move? We need to wait & watch.
