Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice suffered another setback last week during the weekly AAA show as she lost the AAA World Mixed Tag Team titles, a title she held since February alongside Mr. Iguana.
Vice and Iguana lost the titles to La Hiedra and Laredo Kid. The setback comes in the backdrop of Vice losing the NXT Women’s title, ending her reign as a Double Champion in WWE.
Vice lost the NXT Women’s title against Kendal Gray at the 2026 edition of The Great American Bash last month. These string of setbacks made many fans question Vice’s creative direction, and now we have an update on it.
Lola Vice might be headed to SmackDown
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, WWE is planning to call up Lola Vice to the main roster, with SmackDown seen as her most likely destination. The potential reason is that her boyfriend, and one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champion Damian Priest, is currently part of the SmackDown roster.
Vice is currently gearing up to take on Kendal Gray in a title rematch. The two stars will collide at the August 4th Episode of NXT in an NXT Underground match.
The upcoming August 4 episode of NXT airs live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The match was confirmed after Vice defeated Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan in a number-one contender’s match on the July 14 edition of the show.
Following the report, fans are now speculating that this might be Vice’s final match on the developmental brand before she heads to the main roster.
