Becky Lynch speaks up on her failed relationship with Finn Balor: WWE

Becky Lynch is one of the biggest names in wrestling and is considered one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. Lynch played a major role in the women’s revolution and uplifted the women’s division.

Lynch has been in WWE since 2013 and has achieved great heights. She is a nine-time champion & is the sixth Grand Slam Champion in WWE. In May 2024, Becky left WWE after her contract expired and hasn’t signed a new contract with the company.

Becky during the final days of her contract promoted her autobiography about her journey into pro-wrestling. It is reported that Lynch has mentioned her past relationship with the former Universal Champion. Here is what Becky said about her relationship.

Becky Lynch in her autobiography “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl” wrote about her previous failed relationship with Finn Balor in Ireland. Finn Balor trained Becky for her pro-wrestling career and the duo came closer then. However, they split their paths to pursue their own career goals.

Lynch wrote about her relationship with Balor and how it felt to her during the days they got moved away. She says that Balor moved to Japan and called her a few days later and agreed that their relationship was over, however, they continued as friends. She compared it to the popular band The Script’s song Breakeven quote.

Becky Lynch wrote,

“When he left, I knew it was over between us. The distance was too great and over the last few months I had simultaneously become demanding, clingy and scared of losing him… He was about to live out his dream, and I wasn’t part of it.”

“This was my first real love and I messed it up. Now he was going away forever, leaving me behind. When he made it to Japan and called me a few days later, we agreed the relationship was over but that we would always remain friends. But to quote the famous song by the band The Script, ‘When a heart breaks, no, it don’t break even’,” ” and I was absolutely the more devastated one.”

Becky Lynch is married to Seth “Freakin” Rollins. They got married in 2021 and they have a daughter together. On the other hand, Finn Balor is married to Mexican Sports Journalist Vero Rodriguez.
