WWE has seen some of the most talented British stars compete in the company for years.

Over four decades, the global juggernaut of wrestling, WWE, has seen an influx of highly talented and remarkable individuals who told compelling stories with their bodies inside the ring. Among them, many names come from the land of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

These WWE superstars brought their unique style, presentation and offense to the table and became renowned stars in the business. Here is the list of the top five British WWE superstars of all time:

5. Paige

A young woman who came from Norway, England and became a pioneer and trailblazer who brought the Women’s Revolution in WWE into the spotlight during its early stages was Paige. The Anti-Diva gave some of the most memorable bouts in history battling the likes of AJ Lee, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch and claiming multiple Women’s titles. After retiring from the ring in 2018, Paige fought through her injuries and returned to in-ring action when she debuted in AEW in 2023 under her real name, Saraya.

4. Wade Barrett

Wade Barrett made an immediate impact upon his arrival at Stamford-based company in 2010 by winning the first season of the WWE NXT reality show and leading the charge of rookies as part of The Nexus faction. Following that, Barrett enjoyed considerable success as a singles competitor and his compelling gimmick as ‘Bad News Barrett.’ He came back to the company in 2020 and now serves in the role of a WWE commentator on SmackDown alongside Corey Graves.

3. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was introduced to the WWE Universe by then-Chairman Vince McMahon and was christened as ‘The Chosen One.’ However, he failed to make an impact in his first run and was eventually released by Stamford-based company in 2014. Following that, McIntyre emerged as a top star outside the company and returned in 2017. His second run proved to be remarkable as McIntyre became a main event talent, winning multiple World Championships and taking his popularity to the next level with his social media antics and rivalry with CM Punk at the start of 2024.

2. The British Bulldog

A renowned legend from England who was a cornerstone for the Stamford-based company in the 1990s was British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith. He was known for his technical prowess inside the squared circle, battled top legends like Bret Hart and even won the WWE Intercontinental championship in his home country in memorable fashion. His contributions, storied career and influence made him a huge name in Great Britain in the global juggernaut.

1. William Regal

William Regal was one of the most popular WWE superstars that came to prominence in the 1990s and early 2000s. He won multiple championships and accolades till the end of his in-ring career. Following that, Regal took on several onscreen and offscreen roles in the Stamford-based company, including his major influence in building WWE NXT as the territory for the next crop of superstars. He also had a brief stint in AEW before returning to WWE last year and continues to remain a prime fixture for WWE behind the scenes.
