WWE has seen various couples team up for in-ring action in its history.

WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event, Wrestlepalooza, is set to feature a huge mixed tag team match between two wrestling power couples. The team of CM Punk and his recently returned wife, AJ Lee, will square off against the champion duo of Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins.

The two sides have heated tensions and are on a collision course heading into Wrestlepalooza. With a marquee showdown set to go down in Indianapolis, here is a look back at the seven best mixed tag teams in WWE history:

7. Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan

The modern era of WWE saw the compelling chemistry between Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan, which started in 2024. They have become a highly popular couple who have competed in a handful of mixed tag team matches, and in doing so, have become a top attraction for Monday Night RAW to this day.

The Miz and Maryse first aligned together as a married couple in 2016 when Maryse returned to WWE. Since then, they have gone on to battle top opposition in mixed tag team action and have also scored victories over them, most notably against their heated rival, Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella.

Apart from their match against The Miz and Maryse in 2018, Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella even teamed up before becoming a couple. The YES! Man and Bella teamed up back in 2010 to battle the team of Ted Dibiase and Maryse, who were aligned together, and defeated them to pick up the win.

4. John Cena & Nikki Bella

John Cena and Nikki Bella’s real-life romance translated to WWE television programming in 2016. The power couple competed in multiple tag matches together. Their most memorable one was defeating The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33, following which Cena proposed to Bella in the ring in a highly iconic moment.

3. Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch

After their relationship became public in 2019, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch were aligned together on WWE television, after both won World championships at WrestleMania 35. The duo had their first mixed tag team at the 2019 WWE Extreme Rules, where they defeated Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in a spectacular match.

2. CM Punk & AJ Lee

CM Punk and AJ Lee’s real-life love happened during their time in a storyline in the early 2010s. The duo competed in two mixed tag team matches together, one against Kane and Daniel Bryan, and another against Bryan and Eve Torres.

Both matches were exciting to watch, and fans are thrilled to see them compete side by side again at Wrestlepalooza.
