WWE presented some of the most remarkable and captivating Premium Live Events in 2025. It saw top and marquee names compete in high-profile matches, which led to some of the most memorable moments being created for fans.
From a shocking heel turn to a master manipulator pulling off the ruse of the century, here are the top five moments from WWE Premium Live Events in 2025.
5. AJ Lee’s return to in-ring action
The wrestling fans saw the thunderous return of AJ Lee to WWE after a decade to assist her husband, CM Punk, in his feud with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
This led to Lee’s comeback to in-ring competition at the inaugural WWE Wrestlepalooza PLE, where both sides clashed in a mixed tag team match.
As soon as Lee stepped into the ring, fans went wild and cheered on The Black Widow, who showed no signs of ring rust.
4. Seth Rollins’ Ruse of the Century
Seth Rollins seemingly injured his knee at Saturday Night’s Main Event before WWE SummerSlam. He was seen walking on crutches and convinced everyone that he was hurt.
However, at the end of Day 1 of SummerSlam 2025, Rollins revealed it to be a ruse and dropped the crutches on stage, which received a huge pop.
He then went on to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk and win the World Heavyweight Championship.
3. John Cena hits tombstones on AJ Styles
John Cena and AJ Styles collided in perhaps one of the greatest WWE showdowns of all time at WWE Crown Jewel PLE. The duo hit each other with every move in their arsenal, iconic moves of other stars and kept coming back for more.
As the match approached the end, Cena put the down The Phenomenal One with a Tombstone Piledriver to win his 100th PLE match in grand fashion.
2. CM Punk becomes World Champion
CM Punk squared off against Jey Uso in a one-on-one match for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at November’s edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Both stars delivered an epic showdown, which ended in Punk becoming the World Champion once again after more than a decade in WWE.
1. John Cena’s heel turn
The one moment that rocked WWE to its foundation was John Cena finally embracing the hate. After winning the Elimination Chamber match, he met with Cody Rhodes in the ring and soon, the duo found themselves confronted by The Rock and Travis Scott.
Cena embraced Rhodes after he turned down The Final Boss’s offer. At that moment, he got the signal from The Rock and nailed Rhodes with a low-blow, turning heel for the first time in the prime of his WWE career.
