WWE SummerSlam posters have always been intriguing to watch out for by the fans.
WWE is moving fast towards its next Premium Live Event in the Paul âTriple Hâ Levesque era, SummerSlam. The event is set to go down in the state of Ohio at the Cleveland Browns Stadium on Saturday, August 3.
Interestingly, WWE has always produced exciting SummerSlam posters during the eventâs three-decade-plus history. With The Biggest Party of the Summer right around the corner for this year, letâs look back at some fascinating poster designs made by WWE for SummerSlam:
5. SummerSlam 1992
The poster for the 1992 edition of WWE SummerSlam is one of the most iconic in WWE history. Set against the backdrop of the event location, Wembley Stadium in London, the poster features WWE legends like Macho Man Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, British Bulldog and Bret âThe Hitmanâ Hart, the four competitors who were part of the co-main events for the show alongside other superstars. The posterâs design, with its vibrant colours, perfectly captured the excitement of this historic event.
4. SummerSlam 1994
One of the most intriguing WWE SummerSlam posters the company rolled out was for its 1994 edition. The poster prominently promoted the highly anticipated âUndertaker vs. Undertakerâ match between the mystery figure introduced by The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase, and the original Deadman. It was set against a blue backdrop with a red design and catchphrases in yellow.
3. SummerSlam 2005
The 2005 edition of the WWE SummerSlam show featured WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels. The iconic duo were set to collide for the first time ever, bearing the exact text on the poster in bold letters. Furthermore, it also represented the participation of both brands, RAW and SmackDown, and the iconic âSâ design for SummerSlam, which WWE had been using for many years.
2. SummerSlam 2017
The WWE SummerSlam 2017 poster was one of the most colourful and aesthetically designed promotional materials. It featured a mix of main event stars like Brock Lesnar and John Cena, with the stars of the modern era like Sasha Banks, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman in a mix of vibrant colours. Each superstarâs name was featured in the backdrop as spray painted on walls with different colours, giving much life and vibrance to the poster.
1. SummerSlam 2024
This yearâs edition of WWE SummerSlam is building up to be one of the most much-awaited shows in the history of the Premium Live Event. To build further intrigue, WWE put The new Bloodline members, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu and their leader, Solo Sikoa, on their official poster.
The artwork features all four members sitting in a black sports car cladded in black outfits in a deserted alley, hyping the event with their rising stars instead of established stars.
