WWE Bad Blood 2024 might have some betrayals waiting

Betrayals have long been a cornerstone of WWE storytelling, responsible for creating some of the most shocking and memorable moments that stand the test of time. Be it when Stone Cold Steve Austin joined forces with his arch-nemesis Vince McMahon or when Seth Rollins turned on his brothers in The Shield, we still remember these moments even after all these years.

We might not remember the matches or all the segments, but that one moment stays with us. That is the beauty of storytelling in the world of professional wrestling.

Now that WWE Bad Blood is just around the corner, we must remember it was the very first Bad Blood in 1997 where Kane turned on his own brother, The Undertaker, and cost him his match against Shawn Michaels inside Hell in a Cell. The pay-per-view is returning after 20 long years, all set to premiere on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

There is a good chance that we can see a few betrayals at WWE Bad Blood, provided that the match card is stacked with uneasy alliances and uncomfortable friendships, in addition to grudge rivalries. Here are four betrayals that can take place at Bad Blood:

Kevin Owens can turn on Cody Rhodes

WWE has made it abundantly clear that both Randy Orton and Kevin Owens are not happy with Cody Rhodes choosing to team up with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Given that the two have been really loyal friends to Cody, always having his back ever since he got back in the WWE, and given how much Roman Reigns and his Bloodline have cost them in the past four years, their reasoning is perfectly justified.

However, at this moment, Kevin Owens is reacting a lot more aggressively to the situation than The Viper. This could also be a way to trick us into believing that Kevin Owens is going to be the one to turn on Cody, while it will be Randy all along, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. This could be a possibility, so I just put it out there.

But from what the general audience will get by watching SmackDown on a weekly basis, Kevin Owens is just on the verge of snapping. This might happen at Bad Blood when Kevin Owens interferes in Cody and Roman’s match against The Bloodline in what will look like an attempt to help him but will end up hitting him with a Stunner, thus executing his heel turn.

Tiffany Stratton can betray Nia Jax and cash in her MITB contract on her

ia Jax and Tiffany Stratton are a perfect example of toxic friendships. Nia Jax has been mistreating Tiffany, bossing her around for a while now. And while Tiffany used to be intimidated initially, nowadays she just looks pissed.

Also, having the Women’s Championship match at Bad Blood doesn’t make a lot of sense, as the storyline or the match between Bayley and Nia Jax isn’t really pay-per-view worthy.

What is going to be pay-per-view worthy, though, is if Tiffany Stratton finally decides to break her ties with Nia and cash in her Money In The Bank briefcase on her in order to become the new WWE Women’s Champion.

Jacob Fatu can turn on Solo Sikoa

It is not likely that it will happen at Bad Blood, but you know the popular saying, “never say never.” It is something that WWE might not do immediately, but they will definitely do it at some point. He will eventually turn on Solo Sikoa, but what if he does it at Bad Blood?

Solo Sikoa keeps bossing him around, so what if he just gets tired of listening to Sikoa and just decides to take him out instead? Another possibility would be if Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes manage to beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, and Roman Reigns takes back his ‘Ula Fala, that would once again mean, according to the rules of the Anoai family, that Roman is indeed the Tribal Chief.

This might lead to Jacob Fatu acknowledging Roman Reigns and beating the living hell out of Solo Sikoa to force him to fall in line. Both of the two moments would be extremely unpredictable and memorable, and WWE might throw it in to catch us completely off guard.

Cody Rhodes can turn on Roman Reigns

Cody Rhodes doesn’t often get enough credit for it, but he is a really good babyface. Fans are a lot more fickle these days, and they always want to see something new and fresh. But Cody Rhodes has still managed to make the Captain America-type good guy gimmick work and stay over for almost three years.

But all that just makes the moment that he finally turns evil all the more memorable. Roman Reigns came back, maybe not as a clean babyface, but definitely as a good guy, and he gave Cody his word that he will have his back. But Cody never promised anything.

What if Cody just goes rogue in the middle of the match and Cross Rhodes Roman Reigns in the middle of the ring, leaving him high and dry for The New Bloodline to pick him apart?

He would be justified in doing so, especially after everything The Bloodline made him go through for the last two years, and it would make Roman Reigns an even bigger babyface.

The moment will be one that will be remembered for ages. Captain America has finally gone Homelander. And as tiny is the possibility that WWE will book something like this at Bad Blood, we will all love to see it.
