The EST of WWE recently made an appearance on 106&Sports.

As revealed via an Instagram post, WWE star Bianca Belair made an appearance on the 106 & Sports during their last night’s episode at 10/9c on BET. During the appearance, Belair provided an update on her injury and shed some more light on her recovery process.

Belair has been absent from the in-ring action since WrestleMania 41. Except for a few sporadic appearances on WWE television, Belair has mostly been absent from WWE programming.

She sustained an injury at WrestleMania 41 in a triple-threat match against Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley, where the Women’s World title was on the line. Belair suffered a broken finger and has been absent from the in-ring competition.

Belair’s last appearance on WWE television came in July, when she served as the special guest referee in the no-holds-barred match between Jade Cargill and Naomi at Evolution 2.

Bianca Belair is hoping to get back in the ring soon

During her appearance on the show, Belair talked about mental health, lauded the new Women’s Champion Jade Cargill, and even played some games. One of the show’s hosts, Ash Nicole Moss, asked Belair how her injury occurred and how she is coping with it.

Detailing her injury, Bianca Belair explained that she broke her knuckle, not her finger, and while she initially expected an 8–12 week recovery, it has now been almost six months.

The EST of WWE revealed that her finger and her hand were crushed when Rhea landed on it during a spot in the triple-threat match at WrestleMania. Despite the challenges and the setback, Belair ended the answer on a positive note, hoping to return to the squared circle soon.

“So I broke my knuckle, which is not my finger. I broke my knuckle, broke the joint. It’s something that I thought was going to be a very straightforward, you know, eight to 12 weeks. It’s been almost six months at this point, but it was WrestleMania.

And I was in a triple threat with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, And we were going to the top rope because that’s what we do, And we came off the top rope and Rhea landed straight on my hand and it just crushed everything in my finger.

So it’s been a crazy journey. And, you know, being an athlete and having an injury, you rely on your body. And now my body’s not doing what it’s supposed to do. But, you know, I’m hoping I can be back in the ring soon.” Belair said.

WWE fans are eagerly awaiting Belair’s return, especially as SmackDown’s women’s division is dealing with a shortage of big names. Belair could also return to ignite a feud with Jade Cargill, something which the fans have long asked for.
