Bianca Belair has been absent from programming due to injury.
‘The EST of WWE’ Bianca Belair is enduring what could be described as the unlucki-EST stretch of her professional wrestling career.
The three-time WWE Women’s Champion has been sidelined since WrestleMania 41, where she broke her knuckle during a high-stakes triple threat match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. What initially appeared to be a manageable setback has evolved into a far more complicated ordeal.
Early optimism suggested she would return in time for the build to WWE SummerSlam. Instead, the recovery process has taken an unexpected turn, and Belair is now heading for surgery.
Bianca Belair’s surgery announcement clouds WrestleMania 42 hopes

The EST shared the latest development Sunday night via her Instagram stories, confirming that surgery is imminent. “Finger Surgery Tomorrow,” Belair wrote in a post on her IG stories. That update may have effectively ended any lingering hope of her competing at WrestleMania 42, at least inside the ring.
A report last week from BodySlam indicated that Belair was still expected to be involved in this year’s “Showcase of the Immortals” in some capacity. However, she remained listed internally without a designated return date.
“Another source indicated to Bodyslam that the rehab and recovery process for Belair has been rough and they have never seen anything like it. There have been a lot of complications, but Belair is said to have kept a positive mindset throughout this entire ordeal.”
Her impending procedure marks yet another setback in what has already been an unusually difficult rehabilitation timeline. There are currently no additional details regarding the surgery or how much longer she may be sidelined if it proves successful.
Bianca Belair was last seen in July 2025
The last time fans saw Belair on WWE programming was in July at Evolution. She served as the special guest referee for the No Holds Barred match between her former “Big Three” partners, Jade Cargill and Naomi.
Since then, Cargill has captured the WWE Women’s Championship with Belair watching from the sidelines. Many believed the E-S-T would have been the ideal challenger for Jade at WrestleMania 42.
Online wagering markets even listed Belair among the top favorites to win the Women’s Royal Rumble last month. Clearly, however, her finger injury altered those projections.
The winner of the upcoming Women’s Elimination Chamber match will now earn the opportunity to face either Cargill or Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. For now, Belair’s timeline remains uncertain, but her resilience has never been in question.
