Two WarGames matches are in store for this yearâs Survivor Series PLE
2024 Survivor Series: WarGames is set to take place in Vancouver, Canada, in three weeks. Several stars are already slated to compete in the premium live event on November 30.
The event will include superstars such as Gunther, Damian Priest, Liv Morgan, and IYO SKY, while Survivor Series: WarGames will focus on the civil battle between The OG Bloodline and Bloodline 2.0.
More matchups will be revealed as the PLE approaches, although some of the big stars may skip WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. Letâs look at three of them.
3. Randy Orton
Randy Orton was going to face Kevin Owens again, but a risky maneuver from KO (piledriver) left The Viper seriously injured. WWE has released an update on the 14-time world championâs situation, stating that he is out indefinitely.
The notion is that the injury is part of the plot and will not keep him out for long; rather, it was the perfect opportunity for the creative team to write him off for a bit. Thus, Randy Orton is likely to return after Survivor Series: WarGames, with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes stepping up and going after Kevin Owens in retaliation for his best friend and mentorâs injuries.
2. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre was last seen at Bad Blood in early October when he lost to CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match. The Scottish Warrior was hurt during the match and required medical attention later.
Drew McIntyre hasnât been on WWE TV since then, and there is no official word on whatâs next for him or when heâll return. The creative team appears to have no intentions for him at the present, so bringing him back now makes little sense.
Instead, he may return after Survivor Series: WarGames and focus on his new narrative, which could be on RAW or SmackDown, where he could work on new rivalries.
1. CM Punk
CM Punk, like Drew McIntyre, has been on a hiatus since following Bad Blood. The Best in the World revealed that he would be taking time off, but it was unclear when he would return
Punk, on the other hand, will return to WWE on December 26 for a live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City. WWE has yet to offer an update on when he will return to live television.
It is confirmed by many online sources that Punk will appear on WWE Survivor Series 2024, but with him not appearing on RAW and with many pre-taped shows, it looks like CM Punk wonât be performing on the PLE at least, there is a huge chance he might appear in the PLE.
This might happen after Survivor Series: WarGames, when Gunther, his next target, defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest at the PLE. If The Ring General stands tall, he might face CM Punk in a championship contest at Saturday Nightâs Main Event on December 14.
