However, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, people within WWE do not believe Lesnar’s in-ring career is expected to end this weekend. One source also noted they would be surprised if Lesnar doesn’t take an extended break from WWE television before returning for a storyline leading into WrestleMania 43.
Lesnar will take on Oba Femi in a rubber match at the PLE this weekend; this time it will be a Hell in a Cell match.
Danhausen, Joe Hendry & Ryan Garcia segment
The segment on this week’s go-home show of Raw involving Danhausen, Joe Hendry, and Ryan Garcia fell flat with some fans even calling out WWE for the poor execution and wasting valuable time on a major go-home show.
Now, WrestleVotes Radio reports that the Raw concert segment featuring Danhausen and Joe Hendry was viewed internally as falling short of expectations.
The report also states that boxer Ryan Garcia’s appearance was considered underwhelming, with some feeling it was unnecessary given the controversy surrounding him in recent months.
The outlet also reported that multiple members of WWE’s creative team are feeling heightened pressure after this week’s Raw. The episode was said to carry added internal significance because Netflix executives were in attendance at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
Solo Sikoa’s face run & Jesse Ventura’s appearance at SummerSlam
According to WrestleVotes Radio, Solo Sikoa has been earning strong praise backstage for his recent work. While Sikoa’s current babyface run was initially planned as a short-term direction, there is now internal speculation that those plans could change due to the positive reception to his work over the past several weeks.
