‘The Beast’ ended The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak in 2014!
Brock Lesnar wrestled for the University of Minnesota and won the NCAA Division I national title in 2000. He quickly signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, which was renamed WWE in 2002), coming to industry fame in mid-2002 by capturing the WWE Championship at the age of 25, breaking the record for the youngest performer to win the championship.
Lesnar left WWE in 2004 to join the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL), but he was released during the preseason.
He returned to wrestling and joined with NJPW in 2005, where he became the IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Brock Lesnar then left NJPW and was promoted as the IWGP Heavyweight Champion in the IGF before stepping away from wrestling to pursue a career in mixed martial arts (MMA). Lesnar signed with the UFC and had a successful run in the promotion.
Years later, in 2012, he re-signed with WWE; his 504-day first reign with the WWE Universal title is the seventh-longest world title reign in the promotion’s history, and he has the most reigns as Universal Champion, with three.
He’s clinched Royal Rumble (2003, 2022), Money in the Bank (2019), King of the Ring (2002). Plus, he’s headlined WrestleMania (XIX, 31, 34, 36, and 38) and SummerSlam (2002, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022) numerous times. Notably, he ended The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak in 2014.
