Former executive weighs in on Brock Lesnar’s post-WWE retirement plans

Real American Freestyle could be an option for the Beast.
‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar may have stepped away from WWE, but speculation about his next move has continued. The former WWE and UFC champion has already accomplished plenty across professional wrestling and combat sports, leaving fans wondering whether he could eventually pursue another challenge.
Eric Bischoff recently addressed that possibility while appearing on The Game Plan. He was asked whether Lesnar could potentially compete for Real American Freestyle, the freestyle wrestling promotion he co-founded with Hulk Hogan.
Bischoff did not completely close the door on the idea, offering a simple response: “Anything’s possible.” However, he made it clear that he does not expect Lesnar to make a return to competition anytime soon.
According to Bischoff, Lesnar has never been particularly interested in remaining in the spotlight. The former champion would reportedly prefer spending his time at home on his farm, hunting, fishing, and driving his tractor rather than preparing for another public sporting appearance.

Bischoff also pointed to another major priority in Lesnar’s life: his daughter Mya. She is pursuing her Olympic ambitions in shot put, and Bischoff believes supporting her has become a significant focus for the former champion.
In Bischoff’s view, that commitment is one of the reasons Lesnar chose to walk away from WWE. Rather than immediately searching for his next major opportunity, the former champion appears more interested in enjoying life away from the spotlight and supporting his family.
That makes a return to another promotion difficult to envision in the immediate future. Still, Bischoff believes there is one factor that could potentially make Real American Freestyle different from other opportunities.
Amateur wrestling connection leaves the door open
Lesnar’s connection to freestyle wrestling goes back much further than his WWE or UFC career. Before becoming a global superstar, he established himself as an elite amateur wrestler and won the NCAA Division I heavyweight championship in 2000.
That background is what prevents Bischoff from completely ruling out a potential appearance. If Lesnar ever felt the urge to compete again, amateur wrestling could offer the kind of challenge that genuinely appeals to him.
Even so, Bischoff stressed that a return remains unlikely. For now, Lesnar appears more likely to enjoy retirement than immediately pursue another wrestling venture.
If he does eventually return to competition, however, Real American Freestyle could be one of the few destinations capable of tempting the former champion back.
