Brock Lesnar has issued an open challenge for WrestleMania.

With the conclusion of Elimination Chamber 2026, WWE is now gearing up for the 42nd edition of WrestleMania. Storylines and feuds are already taking shape after the second PLE, which will lead to showdowns at the ‘Grandest Stage.’

One of the matches for the show is an Open Challenge issued by the ‘Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar, who issued the open challenge in his return on the February 23 edition of Raw. This came in the backdrop of an intense face-off between Lesnar and Oba Femi during the men’s Royal Rumble match.

While many fans believe Femi will answer the open challenge, reports suggest a potential bout between LA Knight and Lesnar. However, according to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar might take on the Visionary, who has been hunting the Vision since his return at Elimination Chamber 2026.

Multiple grudge matches might be planned for WrestleMania 42

As noted, the face-off between Lesnar and Femi generated a lot of buzz among fans, with many favoring the match over other rumoured matches. Dave Meltzer in the Observer Newsletter noted that WWE’s creative team is likely leaning toward making this matchup a reality.

On the subject of Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania 42 matchup, Meltzer reported that The Visionary could either go up against Bron Breakker or Logan Paul. Rollins, in his return at Chamber, targeted Logan, costing him the match, and this will likely be used to set up the match if WWE goes with Rollins vs Paul.

Additionally, if Breakker is able to make his return in time, he is expected to be Rollins’ top choice. However, if Breakker is unavailable, Logan would likely fill the spot.

Meltzer also reported that the promotion has considered having The Vision challenge for the World Tag Team Championships.

Once again, if Bron Breakker is able to return in time to take on Rollins at Mania, Logan Paul and Austin Theory could instead go after the tag titles currently held by The Usos.

The seeds of this feud were planted on last week’s Raw, where Jimmy Uso took on Austin Theory and was attacked by Logan Paul, until Jey Uso returned with crutches and the Usos sent the Vision packing.

Meanwhile, per the report, WWE’s plans for the ‘Grandest Stage’ also include Finn Balor taking on Dominik Mysterio and Asuka clashing with Kairi Sane at the PLE in Las Vegas.

Both of these matches will be between former allies as Balor and Mysterio are still part of the Judgment Day, while Asuka and Sane are part of a tag team. The report suggests that fans can expect a fallout between the four stars, and WWE has already started hinting at it on programming.

The 42nd edition of WrestleMania will take place as a two-night event on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Including Lesnar’s Open Challenge, four World title matches from both the Raw and SmackDown brand has been announced for the show.

What matches have been announced for WrestleMania 42?

• CM Punk (c) vs Roman Reigns – World Heavyweight title match• Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Liv Morgan – Women’s World title match• Brock Lesnar’s open challenge• Cody Rhodes (c) vs Randy Orton – Undisputed title match• Jade Cargill (c) vs Rhea Ripley – WWE Women’s title match

Has anyone answered Brock Lesnar’s Open Challenge?

So far, no one has accepted the Open Challenge, but reports indicate that potential opponents for Lesnar could include Oba Femi and Seth Rollins, if Bron Breakker isn’t able to return in time to face Rollins at WrestleMania.
