Chris Jericho is one of the biggest names in the pro-wrestling history

The WWE has had several prosperous eras, each featuring famous WWE Superstars. From ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin during the Attitude Era to Cody Rhodes during the current Renaissance Era, the WWE has consistently produced world-class talent.

As is the case in professional wrestling, innumerable wrestlers come and go through the WWE’s doors. Chris Jericho is one wrestler who has taken advantage of his right to pursue new opportunities. Y2J competed for WWE for over two decades before joining AEW. Not one to speak ill of his old employer, Jericho has had some harsh words for WWE’s Hall of Fame, saying in a recent interview that he dislikes the ceremony.

Chris Jericho made his WWE debut in 1999, which led to his memorable ‘Countdown to the Millenium’ reveal. Starting his WWE debut with a verbal altercation with The Rock, Y2J went on to enjoy a career that earned him recognition as one of professional wrestling’s finest.

His resume includes six World Championships and nine Intercontinental Championships, indicating that he will one day be inducted into the Hall of Fame. However, Jericho has expressed his hatred for the event, therefore it is possible that the transfer may never take place.

Why does Chris Jericho dislike WWE Hall of Fame?

The WWE Hall of Fame is an event in which the corporation honors several acts who have helped to improve the WWE throughout the years. Whether it’s a renowned wrestler or a star act, there is an opportunity for everyone who has improved the industry.

WWE has honored several corporate icons throughout the years, including The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Snoop Dogg and Donald Trump.

Despite his involvement with AEW, Jericho’s admittance into the Hall of Fame looked to be a formality. However, in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, the 54-year-old explained why he isn’t concerned about WWE’s Hall of Fame.

“In my mind, I’m already in the Hall of Fame. It’s like, what do I need the plaque for? But is it? Is it a nice little ceremony? I wish sometimes that the guys could actually talk a little longer … the guy just does a speech in five minutes, and then you usher him off, and they go to the next guy. Maybe I’ll have my own Chris Jericho Hall of Fame and put myself in it and end it”.
