Another new championship introduced for the Women’s division
Adam Pearce, WWE RAW general manager, unveiled the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship before the show on 11/25 Monday. “It is my distinct honor to present their own symbol of excellence to fight for,” he said to the crowd. “Ladies and gentlemen, I bring to you the brand new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.”
Pearce praised WWE’s female athletes, referring to them as “the real workhorses of our sport.” He said, “It has been the symbol of excellence for the real workhorses of our sport, those that night in and night out unquestionably leave it all in the ring, blood, sweat and tears.”

He added, “I feel the same way about the women’s division of Monday night. They pour their heart, their blood, sweat and tears into their craft and every week they prove to me time and again that they are the true workhorses in WWE.”
The new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship arrived in style and it’s already turning heads! Building on the legacy of the redesigned IC title, the sleek blue and white design adds a fresh, modern feel to the belt, making it one of the most visually stunning in the company. This bold new addition could quickly become a fan favorite and a centrepiece of WWE’s evolving women’s division.
Pearce did not go into detail about how the new championship will function, but he did indicate it will be tournament-style and begin next week.
Pearce’s statement follows WWE’s unveiling of the Women’s United States Championship on WWE SmackDown earlier in November. The NXT Women’s North American Championship was also announced in April, with Kelani Jordan winning the event in June.
