Nick Aldis unveiled the Women’s United States Championship on SmackDown
For the first time in the promotion’s history, WWE has introduced the United States Championship for the women’s division. The new title was announced last night on SmackDown by the General Manager.
The 11/08 episode of SmackDown was aired live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. This episode was the fallout show from Crown Jewel 2024 PLE. The show featured top stars involved in major segments.
Sami Zayn aligned with the OG Bloodline while Kevin Owens landed the controversial piledriver that sent Randy Orton to the emergency ward. Nick Aldis has already teased a big announcement on this week’s episode before the show.
During the programming of SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis revealed a mid-card championship belt for female wrestlers. This was the first time in history that such a title was announced for the women’s division.

In a taped message during the broadcast of the 11/08 show, Aldis appeared for his teased announcement and unveiled the new mid-card title.

General Manager Nick Aldis unveiled the new WWE Women’s United States Championship and announced that the newly revealed title would not be awarded to anybody.
He further clarified that the title would not be given, but it would be earned by whoever was ready to go above and beyond.
“It will not be awarded, it will not be given, it will be earned by whoever is willing to go above and beyond and seize the moment. Ladies! Opportunity knocks, and it’s time to answer and make history.”
The promotion has a rich history of celebrating women’s wrestling, having introduced several prestigious titles over the years, including the Divas Championship and the Women’s World Championship.
In the changing landscape of Women’s wrestling the introduction of the US Title will make things more interesting for fans. It would be compelling to see which star in the promotion will be crowned as the first WWE Women’s United States Champion.
