CM Punk calls out Roman Reigns after attack on RAW & Lilian Garcia steps down as full-time WWE announcer

Roman Reigns made his return during the main event of WWE Raw this week
After weeks of absence due to an attack by Seth Rollins after the men’s Royal Rumble PLE, “OTC” Roman Reigns made his return on the 03/10 episode of Monday Night Raw during the main event of the show which emanated live from the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.
In the main event, CM Punk faced his fierce rival Seth Rollins in a steel cage match that lived up to expectations. Both superstars went to war, punishing each other and even hitting each other’s finishers, yet neither could secure the pin.
However, things quickly changed as Roman Reigns out of nowhere made his return and pulled Rollins out of the ring, effectively meaning that Seth had escaped the cage and secured the victory. Reigns then got his revenge, taking down his former Shield brother with a brutal Superman Punch, followed by a Spear, and finishing with a Stomp on Rollins.
“The Wiseman” Paul Heyman also made his return and was consoling CM Punk inside the ring, which irked Reigns as he started laughing and stepped into the ring to drive Punk into the cage wall, followed by a vicious spear.
The 03/21 episode of SmackDown will emanate live from Bologna, Italy
The 03/21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate live from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Multiple matches and segments have been announced for the show, including the return of Roman Reigns to the Blue brand.
Following the announcement, The Second City Saint took to his Instagram handle to announce that he will make an appearance on the next week’s SmackDown in Bologna, Italy.
Punk then posted a video on his stories, telling Reigns he’d see him in Bologna. He revealed that Paul Heyman had informed him about Reigns’ appearance next week and, while he’s a Raw guy through and through but since Reigns won’t come to his show anytime soon, he’ll go to his. “See you soon!”
The Second City Saint also shared his appearances for the Road to WrestleMania 41 tour in Europe, with his first appearance being on March 21 in Bologna, followed by two house shows on March 22 and 23. He will also appear on the remaining Raw and SmackDown shows as well as two more house shows.
Lilian Garcia will continue to work on other show ideas with WWE after SmackDown Exit
After the 03/14 episode of SmackDown, Lilian Garcia took to her Instagram to announce that she is stepping down from the role of SmackDown‘s full-time ring announcer. Garcia announced that she would continue as the ring announcer for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, bringing an extra touch of nostalgia to the shows. Garcia will also perform as a singer at select events and mentioned that she is developing other show ideas.
“Just finished announcing SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain and it was absolutely incredible!! But now I have some news that this was my last show as the full-time SmackDown announcer. A new era is upon us BUT I will still be with the company as I will be announcing for all @wwe Saturday Night’s Main Event shows on @nbc & @peacock , singing at certain special events, AND currently working on other show ideas with WWE!” Garcia announced.
