The Second City was looking to build alliances ahead of the Clash in Paris!
‘The Second City’ CM Punk was trying to build alliances during the August 18 episode of Monday Night Raw to counter Seth Rollins’ faction, The Vision, which consists of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. The August 18 episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Punk is set to face Seth Rollins in a fatal four-way match at the upcoming Clash in Paris, which also involves LA Knight and Jey Uso. Rollins’ World Heavyweight title is on the line for the clash.
Punk during this week’s show was urging Knight and Jey to stick together until the match to make sure that Rollins’ faction doesn’t utilize the numbers game ahead of the PLE. Knight and Jey both were uninterested in the alliance and were willing to take on the Vision alone if the need arose.
While the three stars separately confronted Rollins’ faction during the main event, Punk suffered the brunt of it afterwards, as revealed by the WWE star in a recent Instagram post.
Jey Uso battled Bron Breakker in an Extreme Rules match

In the main event of the show, Jey Uso took on Bron Breakker in an Extreme Rules match. The match saw multiple weapons being utilized, with Jey edging out Bron for a pin, but Bronson Reed’s arrival spoiled the party as he attacked Jey.
This brought out LA Knight, who was then ambushed by Seth Rollins. CM Punk came out to make the save and went to land the GTS. Rollins gouged his eyes and sent him crashing into Knight, who went crashing through a table. Punk and Rollins continued brawling through the crowd stands.
In the final moments of the match, Jey pinned Breakker to win the match as Roman Reigns came out to aid him and took out Bronson Reed.
However, after the match, Punk took to his Instagram story to reveal that he busted his upper lip, likely during the brawl with Seth Rollins. “I need a haircut,” wrote the Second City Saint with the selfie of medical staff attending to the injury.
