CM Punk is all set to face Drew McIntyre in a strap match at the WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 PLE. Both have been carrying their rivalries in the red brand for a long time and they made it personal between them on the road. Punk went on to screw Drew’s world title matches on multiple occasions.

On the other hand, Drew took Punk’s bracelet with Punk’s dog and wife’s name, which triggered him the most. They had their first match at SummerSlam 2024, where Drew McIntyre picked up the win and retook Punk’s bracelet.

In 2006, Punk had his first strap match in WWE’s developmental brand Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Punk faced Brent Albright in a strap match with the OVW Heavyweight Championship on the line. Punk went on to defeat Albright in a brutal match and won the OVW Heavyweight title, beginning his strap match record 1-0.

CM Punk vs Umaga (Extreme Rules 2009)

In 2009, Punk faced Umaga in a Samoan Strap match. Both executed brutal assaults on each other in a nearly nine-minute match, trying to punish each other and secure the win. In the final moments of the match, Punk touched three turnbuckles, but got interfered with by Umaga. He delivered a GTS to Umaga and touched the fourth turnbuckle to win the match.
