CM Punk vows to raise the bar on WWE Raw after Rhea Ripley's stinkface

CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 and shocked the entire WWE Universe. He made his in-ring television return at Royal Rumble in a failed pursuit. He was teased at an angle to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, but his run was cut-short due to his torn triceps.

Punk was written-off from the television and the WrestleMania plans were scrapped. At this stage Punk will be making his return to Raw tomorrow in his hometown Chicago, Illinois, in the same stadium where he returned at Survivor Series. Ahead of his return, Punk noted what’s going around and hy[ed his return.

CM Punk on Rhea Ripley & raising the bar

Rhea Ripley in a WWE Live event defended her Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax. During the match, Ripley performed Rikishi’s stink face move on Nia Jax, which went viral on the internet. Another video of Shayna Baszler volunteering for Ripley’s stink face is also circulating the internet. Following this, CM Punk reacted to it with a message ahead of his return.

CM Punk on his Instagram story posted a fan made photo of CM Punk & Cody Rhodes kissing each other and said that he has been seeing what Rhea Ripley has been doing in the house shows and he is prepared to raise the bars on his return to Raw tomorrow.

CM Punk at WrestleMania 40 Kick-off said that although he is unable to compete at this year’s WrestleMania, he has his mouth and would trash talk a lot of people. Is Punk returning to piss-off the stars with the mic? Despite being written off television, there has been constant talks about Punk on television, especially by Drew McIntyre, who claims to be the reason for burying Punk’s WrestleMania dreams.

CM Punk is currently scheduled to appear on the March 25 episode of Raw in Chicago, Illinois & the April 1, 2024 episode of Raw in Brooklyn, New York. He also announced his appearance for WrestleMania 40. However his tease seems like we could see Punk getting involved in the road to WrestleMania this year.
