Money in the Bank 2010

Cody Rhodes debuted at the first Money in the Bank PPV in 2010. Rhodes competed in the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE Championship contract against names like Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Edge, John Morrison, Evan Bourne, Ted DiBiase, and The Miz. Despite a terrific performance and numerous high-flying moves, Cody failed to secure the suitcase. The Miz eventually won the bout, earning a future WWE Championship shot.

Money in the Bank 2011

Cody Rhodes returned to the Money in the Bank PPV in 2011, but this time in the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match. The bout included Wade Barrett, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater. Cody demonstrated technical brilliance and commitment but came short of victory. Daniel Bryan won the match and earned a contract for a future World Heavyweight Championship bout.

Money in the Bank 2012

In 2012, Cody Rhodes participated in the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match once again. This time, the field included Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, Christian, Santino Marella, Tensai, and Dolph Ziggler. Rhodes delivered a commendable performance, demonstrating his resilience and strategic mind. However, he was unable to capture the briefcase, as Dolph Ziggler emerged victorious.

Money in the Bank 2013

Cody Rhodes made another appearance at the 2013 Money in the Bank PPV, competing in the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank ladder match. The match featured Dean Ambrose, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Fandango, Wade Barrett, and Damien Sandow.

Cody came close to winning, but his former tag team partner Damien Sandow betrayed him, pushing him off the ladder to claim the briefcase for himself. This event set the stage for a bitter rivalry between Rhodes and Sandow.

In 2014, Cody Rhodes reinvented himself as Stardust, a bizarre and cosmic character. The Rhodes Brothers faced off against Curtis Axel and Ryback in a tag team match, securing a victory by pinfall. This marked Stardust’s only appearance at the Money in the Bank PPV before he left WWE.
