‘The American Nightmare’ is the biggest baby face in WWE right now
The WWE Undisputed champion Cody Rhodes is scheduled to fight Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage match in London for a highly anticipated return of WWE in the United Kingdom. The two stars are headlining the event at the new Co-op Live Arena in Manchester.
Ahead of his fight, Rhodes is on a media tour and has also visited Manchester City‘s world-class facility on Monday. During the visit, Rhodes was asked to name a Manchester City player he is least likely to fight in the WWE ring.
Rhodes named Erling Haaland who is considered one of the best football players in the world. Rhodes has also previously talked to BBC Radio and has made an appearance on BBC Newsround.

Cody Rhodes names John Cena as his ‘G.O.A.T’
Rhodes also appeared on BBC Radio and expressed his desire for a WrestleMania across the pond. During the conversation, Rhodes declared John Cena the greatest wrestler of all time. WrestleMania is usually held in the US. Rhodes also commented on the meeting of Triple H and Nick Khan with The Mayor of London and hoped for positive results from the meeting.
“You mentioned the Mayor (of London) and his meeting with Triple H and Nick Khan – I’m very much looking forward to watching that situation unfold, just because I think it’s far more in the possibility realm than it was even a week ago” Rhodes stated.

The WWE Undisputed Champion split the fifth spot between ‘The Original Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns and Megastar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Rhodes has recently teamed up with Reigns to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu from Bloodline 2.0 in a high-stakes match at WWE’s PLE Bad Blood 2024.
During his appearance on the Newsround Rhodes also answered questions submitted by fans. One such question was regarding the story behind his nickname ‘The American Nightmare’.
The WWE Undisputed Champion is scheduled to face the current WWE Heavyweight Champion Gunther for the inaugural Crown Jewel Title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 02 November 2024.
The event also has a scheduled fight between the WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan for the inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
