‘The American Nightmare’ wants to go all Hollywood
As WWE Champion Cody Rhodes prepares to face John Cena at WrestleMania 41, he has recently expressed an interest in acting, following in the footsteps of contemporaries such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, Dave Bautista, and others who have made big name in the field.
‘The American Nightmare’ was last seen on WWE RAW, where he ran into his opponent John Cena after their intense feud at the Elimination Chamber, where The Cenation Leader turned heel for the first time in his career and viciously attacked Rhodes for vehemently criticizing The Rock and declining his offer to “sell his soul.”
Cody Rhodes will next face John Cena on April 20, 2025, on the second day of WrestleMania 41. Meanwhile, the American Nightmare has stated his intention to join Hollywood. Let’s see what the Undisputed Champion has to say about his acting ambitions.
WWE star Cody Rhodes has shown a desire to pursue an acting career in Hollywood, following in the footsteps of fellow WWE stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, and Dave Bautista.
Cody Rhodes set to star in upcoming film “The Naked Gun”
According to sources, Cody Rhodes is set to star in the upcoming film “The Naked Gun,” which is scheduled for release this year. This is not his first appearance in a film. He previously appeared in the DC series “Arrow” and other WWE-produced films.
Cody Rhodes discussed his aspirations to work in Hollywood on the podcast Pardon My Take, admitting that he has caught the acting bug and might be the next wrestler-turned-actor. During their open talk, the WWE champion stated:
“I’d love to get out there, there’s some fun projects coming up. I’d love to get out there and tell stories that way for sure, and grow. I love pro wrestling, I always will. To get out there, I love what Rock has done, I love what John has done, and Dave Batista as well. All of them have gone different routes when approaching Hollywood, and I think I might be next to join the fray in all that.”
Meanwhile, fans are eager to watch how Rhodes balances his wrestling commitments for his next major match at WrestleMania 41, as well as potential acting opportunities as he prepares for his role in the “The Naked Gun” revival.
