The American Nightmare won the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40

Cody Rhodes is one of the biggest babyfaces of WWE, since his return to the company in 2022. The American Nightmare fought in a number of matches throughout the week and earned his spot at the top. He had the most matches for the company last year and has been continuing his work this year.

Cody’s work paid off as he went on to become the Undisputed WWE Champion for the first time in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 2 by dethroning Roman Reigns. Although a number of top WWE stars took their time-off from television, Cody is remaining active and is leading the new era. WWE veteran, Kevin Nash has now praised Cody for his consistency and contribution to the company, on his recent appearance on a podcast.

Kevin Nash praises Cody Rhodes

Kevin Nash on his recent appearance on the Kliq This podcast praised Cody Rhodes claiming him as the perfect champion for not taking any time off from WWE television and for their consistent work throughout the year.

Kevin Nash said,

“They just came off that WrestleMania run, they’re over in Europe. I’m sorry, man, but the only old-school guy that’s still in that locker room, that’s of the new era, is Cody. Cody would work three hundred fucking days and wouldn’t bat an eye. That’s why he’s the perfect fucking champion right now. He’s not gonna take time off. He’s gonna show up an hour before anybody else does and sign 250 fucking belts.”

Nash also went on to praise Cody, Seth Rollins & Dominik Mysterio as the workhorses of the WWE locker room.

Nash said,

“I’m just saying, when you look at it and they had that iron man thing, and it was Dom Mysterio, Seth, and it was Cody, and they were like 103 [matches], 108, 113, those were the workhorses for the year. There wasn’t a guy in our locker room that didn’t do 250.”

Cody Rhodes went on to tour the UK for the House Shows and promised that he will be defending the title all around the world. He is all set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship on television for the very first time against AJ Styles on May 4, 2024 at Backlash 2024 PPV in France.
