Rhodes is scheduled to face WWE Heavyweight Champion Gunther at the Saudi Arabia PLE, Crown Jewel this week for the inaugural Crown Jewel title. The victor in the ‘Champion vs Champion’ match will be crowned the Crown Jewel Champion.

Cody Rhodes wants to prioritize fatherhood after retirement
Rhodes is still relatively young compared to his peers in the pro-wrestling world and is at the peak of his career. Despite these accolades including being the face of the company, the Undisputed champion is already planning his retirement.
During the conversation with comedian Andrew Schulz and Akash Singh on the Flagrant Podcast, Rhodes noted that he is 39 years old and has no plans to wrestle past the age of 45.
When asked about his future in WWE and wrestling, Cody shared his thoughts on how long he believes he can continue, “I don’t know if the answer would have been different if we’d been drinking. I feel like I’m 39 now, I feel like I can go full-time, 100 percent, and be the best, be at my best, and be the standard, until 45.”
The American Nightmare further revealed that his priority is his daughter and family and he wants to spend time with his daughter post-retirement. “I don’t know why I’ve put that number in my mind. I have a three-year-old daughter.
I do not want her to have a dad that can’t do a lot, and I haven’t had that problem yet, I can throw her up. I don’t want her to have a dad that doesn’t have the strength and all the things she needs…” He added.
Rhodes also mentioned that he feels very fortunate to have only required one surgery and that his injuries haven’t impacted his everyday life. “I have also been really lucky, one surgery. The peck. I have been blessed, I have not been injured much, again, knock on this wood!”
