Reigns and Sami delivered a hard-fought contest for the coveted Championship, with both Superstars refusing to back down. Zayn started strongly, using his grappling skills to push Reigns into the corner before taking the fight outside.

He repeatedly sent the former champion into the barricade and commentary desk while keeping the pace under control. OTC eventually responded with clotheslines, a big boot, and his signature drive-by dropkick, but the Undisputed WWE Champion continued to counter his offence. The challenger also connected with a Blue Thunder Bomb and a diving attack outside the ring before surviving multiple Superman Punches.

The contest became increasingly chaotic when Reigns accidentally struck the referee with a Superman Punch. Zayn capitalised with a Helluva Kick but could not secure the victory. He briefly attempted to use the championship belt before Reigns countered with a spear. Despite several close calls, Reigns eventually connected with another spear to secure the three-count and win the Championship.

After the match, Zayn initially refused to let Triple H present Reigns with the title. He eventually offered a handshake, demanding recognition for his performance. Reigns first rejected the gesture but later embraced Zayn, acknowledging his effort. While Reigns secured the clean victory, Zayn earned his respect through a remarkable performance.
