“The Biggest Party of the Summer” has not been a happy hunting ground for these stars

Everyone knows that WWE SummerSlam is the second-largest event, which is why fans have high hopes and shivers when they consider how spectacular the event may be. SummerSlam is all about tremendous bouts, incredible superstars, and unforgettable memories.

Throughout history, various wrestlers have participated at SummerSlam regularly, with some winning often, such as Edge, who holds the record for the most wins at the event. On the other side, some superstars are not so fortunate and have a poor track record at The Biggest Party Of The Summer. Without further ado, here are the five current WWE wrestlers who have lost the most at SummerSlam.

5. Rey Mysterio – 5

Rey Mysterio has delivered some great matches at The Biggest Party Of The Summer. One of his best performances was at SummerSlam 2002, when he faced Kurt Angle and they both put on a clinic. That was Mysterio’s first loss though.

In the following years, Rey Mysterio was able to win four matches at SummerSlam but also lost four others. The Dudley Boyz, Kane and Chavo Guerrero all managed to defeat Rey Mysterio. Surprisingly, Rey Mysterio has not competed at SummerSlam since 2012, when he was defeated by The Miz.

4. Triple H – 5

Triple H has competed in 13 SummerSlam bouts, winning eight and losing five. His first loss came at SummerSlam 1997, in a Steel Cage match against the hardcore icon Mankind.

Undoubtedly, Triple H’s most famous defeat came against Shawn Michaels at SummerSlam 2002. That night, he gave his all to amuse the spectators and earned a standing ovation. Triple H’s previous SummerSlam bout occurred in 2012 when he defeated Brock Lesnar.

3. Booker T – 5

Booker T has one of the worst win-loss records in SummerSlam history, having lost all five matchups. In the main event of SummerSlam 2001, Booker T lost the World Heavyweight Championship to The Rock.

The next year, Booker T teamed up with Goldust to challenge Tag Team Champions Christian and Lance Storm, but they were unsuccessful. Booker T defeated John Cena in SummerSlam in 2004, Batista in 2006, and Triple H in 2007.

2. Randy Orton – 7

Randy Orton’s record at SummerSlam is seven wins, seven defeats, and one draw. The Viper has lost against top wrestlers including Triple H, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Sheamus, and Brock Lesnar. Orton certainly faced difficult hurdles.

Randy Orton’s most recent loss was at SummerSlam 2020, in a fantastic bout against Drew McIntyre. He’ll most likely lose a couple more PPV matches before hanging up his boots.

1. John Cena – 10

Surprisingly, John Cena has the most defeats in SummerSlam history. The Doctor of Thuganomics has competed in multiple great SummerSlam battles, with the majority of his defeats coming in memorable bouts. Cena has fallen against his longtime foes Randy Orton and Edge, as well as to Batista in SummerSlam 2008.

Cena lost at SummerSlam six years in a row, and all of the matchups were classics, except the 2012 Triple Threat match against CM Punk and Big Show. He delivered outstanding performances in his defeats to Punk, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Roman Reigns.
