Joe Hendry is still under contract with TNA!
TNA President Carlos Silva recently confirmed in an interview that Joe Hendry is still under contract with the promotion, despite increased appearances on WWE television
According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Hendry remains under contract with TNA Wrestling, but it’s uncertain if he has any formal deal with NXT, despite currently receiving pay from both companies.
The report also noted that Hendry has long been favored by Shawn Michaels, which could open the door for a potential move to WWE once his TNA contract ends.
Hardy Boyz’s TNA contract is expiring soon
The Hardys Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy) have been on a tear recently, capturing the NXT Tag Team titles at TNA vs NXT Showdown and then capturing the HOG Tag Team Titles on the independent circuit. They now hold the NXT and HOG tag titles along with the TNA Tag team titles.
Fightful has also reported that The Hardy Boyz’s contract with TNA is set to expire next month. The legendary duo signed new one-year contracts with the promotion in November 2024, which means their deals are close to expiring as the company heads toward its biggest annual event, Bound For Glory.
Sources within TNA told Fightful that the promotion is keen to keep the legendary duo, who have played a major role in TNA’s ongoing revival. Needless to say, free agency will make the Hardy Boyz one of the most sought-after stars.
According to Fightful’s report, the relationship between TNA and The Hardys has been described as “mutually beneficial,” with the duo regularly attracting large audiences and frequently remaining long after events to meet fans due to high demand.
Multiple TNA contracts are set to expire before the end of the year, hinting at a potentially significant shake-up for the promotion’s roster. The IInspiration and Cedric Alexander are among those whose deals are reportedly nearing renewal. Per Fightful, the promotion is actively working to renew those deals, and “many are expected to re-sign.”
The Hardys are currently set to battle Team 3D (Bully Ray and Devon) in a highly anticipated match at TNA Bound for Glory. The two legendary tag teams will battle in a tables match, with The Hardys’ TNA World Tag Team titles on the line.
Santos Escobar’s new WWE contract

Santos Escobar recently re-signed with the Stamford-based promotion. This came days after his initial contract expired. Fightful Select now reports that Escobar’s return came as a pleasant surprise to many within the company. His new deal is worth more than his previous contract with the company.
The report further adds that there was a belief among some that his offer might be pulled if he didn’t accept it quickly, a policy that has previously applied to others, such as Karrion Kross. Escobar’s new contract is reportedly very lucrative, and initial reports indicated he declined a pay raise, prioritizing creative direction for his character over financial gain.
There is currently no update on his plans on WWE television. Meanwhile, Fightful has also noted that before signing his new contract, Escobar was slated to appear at New York Comic-Con. The outlet confirmed this but noted that there have been no serious talks between him and AEW, as rumors suggested earlier.
