Rey Mysterio faced the American Made in a six-man tag team match

In a shocking turn of events on the final episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 41, Rey Mysterio appeared to suffer a leg injury during a six-man tag team match alongside Dragon Lee and Rey Fénix against American Made (Chad Gable & the Creed Brothers).

Midway through the bout, Rey Mysterio was seen outside the ring, pointing to his leg in visible discomfort. After his teammates and WWE officials attended to him, Mysterio was assisted backstage after the match, casting doubt on his scheduled match against El Grande Americano at WrestleMania 41 Night 1.

As of now, WWE has not released an official statement regarding Mysterio’s condition or his status for WrestleMania. Fans and wrestling insiders alike are anxiously awaiting updates, as the potential absence of Mysterio from the event would be a significant blow to the card.

Mysterio’s legacy in professional wrestling is unparalleled. Debuting in 1989, he became a cornerstone of the Cruiserweight division in WCW, delivering classic matches against the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, and Chris Jericho. Since joining WWE in 2002, Mysterio has captured multiple championships, including the World Heavyweight Championship, and won the 2006 Royal Rumble from the No. 2 position.

If Mysterio is unable to compete at WrestleMania 41, potential replacements like Rey Fénix or Dragon Lee could step in to face El Grande Americano. Both are formidable competitors and would honor Mysterio’s lucha libre legacy.

Fans worldwide are supporting Mysterio, hoping for a swift recovery. As WrestleMania 41 approaches, let’s hope Rey’s injury is just kayfabe. On the same episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes & John Cena came face-to-face for the final time & this time Cody Rhodes really cooked Cena.
