John Cena shares another cryptic post on Instagram
John Cena may have spoken volumes without saying a word. On June 10, 2025, the Undisputed WWE Champion posted a single photo on Instagram, no caption, no explanation. The image? The Miz is executing a move on Samoa Joe inside a WWE ring in Saudi Arabia.
At first glance, it seemed like a random throwback. But with John Cena set to face CM Punk at WWE Night of Champions on June 28 in the very same country, the post may have carried a pointed message.
Fans quickly connected the dots, linking the image to a controversial moment in Punk’s past. In 2020, during a fiery online spat with The Miz, Punk made headlines with a harsh and expletive-laden jab referencing WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows.
His now-deleted post, “Go suck a blood money covered d*** in Saudi Arabia you f**** dork”, remains one of the most infamous comments ever made by a WWE Superstar about the company’s business dealings.
For years, Punk stood firmly against performing in Saudi Arabia. That stance made the subsequent booking for the 2025 Night of Champions PLE in Jeddah all the more striking. It’s a complete reversal from the anti-establishment rebel fans once rallied behind—and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by Cena.

By posting an image of The Miz, Punk’s longtime adversary, wrestling in Saudi Arabia, Cena may have sent a subtle yet stinging reminder of Punk’s hypocrisy. It was a move rooted in symbolism, not noise. And with no caption to dilute the message, Cena let fans draw their own conclusions.
While neither Cena nor Punk has publicly acknowledged the post, the implications are hard to ignore. Cena’s mastery of storytelling has often extended beyond promos, and this quiet act feels like a psychological play ahead of their highly anticipated clash.
Is Cena firing the first mental shot? Or simply reminding Punk and the world of receipts that never expire? Either way, the buildup to Night of Champions just got a lot more personal.
