Roman Reigns made his in-ring debut at WWE Bad Blood 2024 after WM 40
The main event of Bad Blood 2024 was a star-studded affair. It started off with two of the biggest faces and former arch-rivals, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, making grand entrances and then teaming up to take on the team of Solo Sikoa and his enforcer, the Werewolf Jacob Fatu. The match also featured the Tanga Brothers, who eventually got taken down by the returning Jimmy Uso. The match ended with Roman Reigns pinning Solo Sikoa after hitting him with a spear.
If that was not enough, at the end of the night, just before the show was about to go off the air, we got the return of the Final Boss, The Rock. He stared down Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, who were standing together in the ring, with a look on his face that you can only call disappointment.
Now that Bad Blood is done and dusted, it seems we are now moving into a new chapter of The Bloodline. This opens up a door of countless possibilities to where the storyline might take off from here. With Survivor Series just around the corner, we will discuss the top five most likely directions for the original Tribal Chief from here on all the way up to WrestleMania 41.
Bring back the OG Bloodline for Survivor Series
The most likely direction for WWE to take for The Bloodline story from here on is to have The Bloodline civil war take place between the OG Bloodline and The New Bloodline in the Survivor Series WarGames match. To facilitate that, Roman Reigns needs to make a lot of amends and fix a lot of relationships.
He got Jimmy back in his corner, and the Wiseman Paul Heyman is also expected to be back soon. Once Paul Heyman comes back, he might negotiate the business end of things to bring back the original tribe together, but the personal ends of things need to be fixed by Roman Reigns himself.
Roman Reigns acknowledging his mistakes and making amends to fix his relationship with Jey Uso and Sami Zayn will really make for entertaining television in the build-up to Survivor Series.
Defeat Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat match
We might get The Bloodline Civil War at Survivor Series, and that might be sufficient to conclude this rivalry, but to really end it, we still need a good old one-on-one match between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns – the usurper vs the rightful.
We might get this match at Crown Jewel, and this might be the place where Roman Reigns successfully defeats Solo Sikoa clean in the middle of the ring and takes back the Ula Fala. With that, he might get back to being the only Tribal Chief in the WWE and set his sights on the WWE Undisputed Championship.
Challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship
Provided that Cody Rhodes is still the champion at the Royal Rumble, we might get Roman Reigns finally challenging him for the title at the PLE. This is because Roman Reigns already stated that once he is finished with his family affairs, he will be coming for his WWE title.
The problem is that neither Cody nor Roman, considering their larger-than-life personas in the WWE, can be booked to lose this match clean. This means we are going to get shenanigans and interferences spoiling the result of this match.
We predict Jacob Fatu to be the one who attacks both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in this match, resulting in a no-contest. We think he will specifically target Roman Reigns, and when Cody tries to help Roman, we might get the Final Boss, The Rock, coming down to the ring and taking him out as well.
Face Jacob Fatu in a one-on-one match
We still don’t know if we will get this match at the Elimination Chamber or in WrestleMania itself, but since we are talking from Roman’s POV in this article, we will go with the possibility that suits him best.
After his WWE Undisputed Championship match at Royal Rumble has cost him courtesy of the actions of Jacob Fatu, he will definitely go after him. We predict this match might be booked at Elimination Chamber, where Roman Reigns finally takes down the final threat from The Bloodline that was dragging him down. Thereafter, he can focus on the WWE Undisputed Championship or his cousin, or maybe both.
Triple threat match against Cody Rhodes and The Rock at Mania 41?
With the Final Boss making his return at Bad Blood 2024 and indirectly targeting both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes with his facial expressions and hand gestures, it seems the probable main event of WrestleMania 41 is going to be neither The Rock vs Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes vs The Rock. It will be a bit of both, meaning a triple threat match for the WWE Undisputed Championship in the main event of WrestleMania.
We will still probably get the one-on-one match between The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42, where Roman Reigns finally retires The Rock.
However, if we are talking about this year’s Mania, Roman Reigns will possibly fight both The Rock and Cody Rhodes in the night, and the events of the match will lead to the main event of WrestleMania 42 being set up a year in advance, just as it happened in the case of John Cena vs The Rock at WrestleMania 28.
That will probably be the match where Roman Reigns will retire his cousin and finally end the career of the biggest star in the history of this business.
