Zoey Stark has faced multiple knee injuries in her career
Things have taken a tough turn for WWE Superstar Zoey Stark, as a new update suggests she will be out of action much longer than initially anticipated and will likely miss WrestleMania 42.
The unfortunate injury occurred during a recent episode of Monday Night RAW. Stark was competing in a high-stakes Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying Match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane.
While attempting a missile dropkick, Stark landed awkwardly and immediately signaled for help. She was carried to the back by a referee and later confirmed to have suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery.
This isn’t the first time the talented star has faced such a setback. Back in 2021, during her run in NXT, Stark tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, a devastating combination that kept her out for months.
Despite the history, she made a full recovery and impressed many with her return, eventually earning a spot on the main roster in 2023, where she quickly gained praise backstage for her work ethic and in-ring ability.
Initial reports suggested that she would be able to return by the end of 2025. However, a new update from Fightful Select reveals that WWE’s internal expectation for her return has been pushed to sometime after WrestleMania 42 in April 2026. This would mean that Stark will miss WWE’s biggest annual event entirely.
Reacting to the news, Zoey Stark took to X (formerly Twitter) with an emotional message:
“Wow the love and support means more to me than you’ll ever know! What hurts more than my knee is knowing I won’t be able to perform for all of you for a while. […] As the saying goes, the comeback is greater than the setback.”
Zoey Stark’s absence is a big blow to the women’s division, but fans remain hopeful that her eventual comeback will be stronger than ever.
