No hate between the WWE legends
No, The Undertaker does not hate Batista. Despite recent speculation about their opposing political affiliations during the 2024 United States presidential election, the two WWE legends remain on good terms. The Phenom himself addressed these rumors, expressing his admiration for Batista and affirming their friendship.
During an appearance on Fox News, WWE HOF The Undertaker clarified their relationship, dismissing any idea of animosity. “So that it’s perfectly clear. I don’t have any angst towards Dave Bautista. He’s still a good friend of mine. I haven’t seen him, but if I saw him, I would give him a big hug,” said The Deadman. He included a friendly remark, emphasizing that political differences should not lead to hatred. “If people would adopt that a little bit more and not get so much vitriol and hate over politics, it’s ridiculous.”
The rumors started when The Undertaker expressed support for President-elect Donald Trump, while Batista publicly endorsed Kamala Harris, Trump’s opponent. Harris ultimately lost the election on November 5, 2024, which intensified speculation about a rift between the two. However, The Undertaker’s comments clarified that their friendship remains unaffected by their differing political views.
The Undertaker & Batista’s history in WWE
The Undertaker is now retired & spending quality time with his family. But, his rivalry with Batista is one of the biggest in company history. The Undertaker and Batista had numerous incredible matchups in WWE, but which were the best of the best?
Few WWE rivalries surprised us as much as The Undertaker and Batista’s in 2007. The former had just won the Royal Rumble following an in-ring revival, unlike anything we’d seen before, so the prospect of him facing a fellow powerhouse at the Showcase of the Immortals was not as exciting. Nonetheless, they delivered; in fact, they went beyond.
The Phenom and The Animal wrestled the match of the year at WrestleMania, but they didn’t stop there. They delivered four more scintillating showdowns throughout the rest of the year, highlighting their immense – and unexpected – in-ring chemistry.
Despite their ability to produce, their matches had an unexpected element that astonished fans. They worked considerably better together than many of us could imagine and they always managed to leave everything in the ring when the bell sounded. Still, that chemistry stays intact.
