AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio currently stands as the top star of WWE’s sister promotion, Lucha Libre AAA. Dirty Dom is set to defend the World title against El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34 next month.
The PLE will emanate over two nights. Night 1 will take place on September 11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada, U.S., while Night 2 will take place on September 13 at the Arena CDMX in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico.
The PLE has garnered massive interest among fans, and Dirty Dom is likely going to headline the event and is heavily featured on the promotional material.
The stark contrast for Dominik Mysterio on Monday Night Raw
In contrast, the Judgment Day member on Monday Night Raw is coming off a loss to Danhausen at WWE SummerSlam 2026 in a Human Monies on a Pole match. Fans have been vocal about the poor booking of Dirty Dom on the main roster, especially when last year he defeated John Cena in his final ever PLE.
Mysterio is also not engaged in any meaningful feud, wrapping up his feud with former stablemate Finn Balor. The same has been a talking point among fans who are frustrated with Dirty Dom’s creative direction on the main roster, and according to a new report Msyetrio himself shares the emotion.
According to the report from False Finish, Mysterio is frustrated with the contrast in his WWE and AAA booking.
The report also adds that he feels WWE should present him more seriously, especially as he currently holds AAA’s top crown, and would prefer greater consistency in his character across both shows.
“Sources indicate to False Finish that AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio is frustrated with the difference in his booking between WWE and AAA.
One source noted that Mysterio believes that he should be booked in a more serious way on WWE TV as he’s currently holding the most important championship in AAA. Mysterio would like to see his character portrayed the same instead of it seeming like he’s 2 separate people on 2 different shows.”
In early June, WrestleVotes Radio reported there was internal disappointment with the lackluster creative for both Mysterio and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. However, this is the first report to directly link the frustration to Mysterio himself.
