The Scottish Psychopath battled Damian Priest in a steel cage match!

‘The Scottish Psychopath’ Drew McIntyre walked into the Yeungling Centre on May 24 to settle the score with Damian Priest as both stars looked to finish the chapter and put an end to their feud.

This was their second meeting in recent times, as they both clashed in a Sin City street fight at WrestleMania 41 in April, where the Scottish Psychopath emerged victorious.

This time around, the battle was inside a steel cage match at the May 24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which emanated from the Yeungling Center in Tampa, Florida. It was the second edition of SNME in 2025 and the third one overall since its return in 2024.

McIntyre was looking to repeat the same success from WrestleMania, however, Priest fought back and finished the match as he took out McIntyre’s head onto a steel chair and grabbed another one to land the Con-Chair-to. Priest didn’t went for the pin instead walked out of the cage on the concrete floor, effectively winning the match.

Drew McIntyre will be out of action following SNME

‘The Scottish Psycopath’ is expected to be off WWE programming for the foreseeable future. According to PWInsider, McIntyre concluded his latest WWE run at Saturday Night’s Main Event, suffering a loss to Damian Priest in a steel cage match.

Backstage reports revealed that McIntyre will be taking a lengthy break from WWE and is not expected to appear on television for the foreseeable future.

There have been rumors connecting McIntyre to a significant Hollywood project. However, this break is reportedly personal time off and not related to anything. McIntyre himself recently confirmed in conversation with Orlando Sentinel that he is working hurt

“I can’t turn my head all the way left yet… Working hurt is just what happens if you’re an athlete, especially as the years go by. If you’re injured, it is something to take care of,” McIntyre said.
