Drew McIntyre furious over WWE Royal Rumble elimination: Report

The men’s Royal Rumble match was the main event of the PLE
The 2025 Royal Rumble PLE delivered as promised in the main event which featured the men’s Rumble match. Similar to his peers, Drew McIntyre entered the match as he aimed to challenge the champion and headline WrestleMania.
The kick-off to WrestleMania season officially began as the Royal Rumble 2025 PLE emanated live from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The show featured two men’s and women’s Rumble matches along with two title matches including the Undisputed WWE Championship.
McIntyre entered the men’s Rumble match right after Roman Reigns at number 17. The Scottish Warrior as expected went right after Roman Reigns. However, he was unable to eliminate the OTC or anyone else and his dreams of headlining Mania were shattered when he was eliminated by Damian Priest.
A new report from PWInsider claims that McIntyre was outraged by the way he was eliminated, The report further adds that the Scottish Warrior stormed backstage to express his anger through “screaming and cursing” about someone prioritizing their moves at the expense of several planned storyline, “someone had to get their moves in.”
Furthermore, the report claims that the Scottish Warrior stormed out of the arena before the match and the Rumble PLE was even over.
Jey Uso eliminated John Cena and secures WrestleMania title shot
In the final moments of the men’s Rumble match, Cena eliminated Logan Paul as Jey Uso and Cena battled for glory. Jey landed a superkick, but Cena somehow managed to hang on, lifting Jey for the Attitude Adjustment.
Jey slid back into the ring and pushed Cena off the edge to win the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match. On the other hand, Charlotte Flair made her return at the Lucas Oil Stadium and went on to win the women’s Rumble match. Flair also became the first woman to win two Royal Rumble.
Furthermore, Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano (DIY) retained their titles against Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (Motor City Machine Guns). In the second title clash of the evening, Cody Rhodes defended the Undisputed WWE title against Kevin Owens.
