The Scottish Warrior is heading to Hollywood!

‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre is heading to Hollywood, as per a recent report by Deadline. McIntyre has joined the cast of the highly anticipated “Highlander” reboot from Amazon MGM Studios.

Drew will star opposite Henry Cavill as Angus MacLeod, the brother of Cavill’s character. He will be a part of a star-studded cast that features Russell Crowe, Karen Gillan, and former WWE star Dave Bautista. The movie is a reboot of the 1986 fantasy-action classic and will be directed by Chad Stahelski, best known for his work on the John Wick series.

McIntyre previously showcased his acting skills in the Lionsgate action film The Killer’s Game, where he collaborated with Chad Stahelski’s renowned 87Eleven stunt team and shared the screen with Dave Bautista.

Per Deadline, the new project had entered pre-production earlier this month but was put on hold after Cavill sustained a training injury. Production is now expected to begin in early 2026.

Drew McIntyre last week suffered defeat in the main event of Wrestlepalooza at the hands of Cody Rhodes, who retained the Undisputed WWE title. McIntyre then made an appearance on last night’s SmackDown, where he was confronted by Jacob Fatu, signaling a new feud between the two.
